Wellington Irish Society - Available for Hire
The Wellington Irish Society building is available to hire for members and non-members.
We have two halls available, upstairs and downstairs.
The downstairs hall includes a bar and kitchen and a large dance area. There is a music system and access to a projector can be arranged. An additional fee may be charged for the use of the projector.
The upstairs hall includes a bar, a smaller kitchen area, a smaller dance area, a pool table, darts, TV, sky sports and a music system. There is also access to a projector. An additional fee may be charged. There is a balcony off the first floor for those sunny evenings.
Both floors have their own toilets
There is also a meeting room that can be made available for hire.
The hall can be hired for all your needs including all birthday's from 21st to 100th, corporate functions, Christmas parties, sporting events and wedding receptions. Both Floors can cater for up to 130 people. We have ample tables and chairs that are available for your use. We have change tables, high chairs and some toys for smaller persons.
For event booking we offer two time slots, day bookings and evening bookings
Normally a day hire is from 9am to 5pm and evening hires from 5pm to 1am but if these hours do not suit you needs talk to us and we can see what we can do.
For non members the cost to hire a Hall is $220 plus a $200 refundable bond. Members get a discount.
Our licence does not permit BYO.
We do stock a range of drinks at reasonable prices and if we don't have what you want we will try and accommodate your needs.
Bar staff for the evening is an additional cost paid directly to the bar staff.
For regular weekday weekly/bi weekly bookings the cost to hire is $20 per hour and casual bookings are $30 an hour
